Blood Lions Documentary Screening November 1

Education Period2019-11-01 ~ 2019-11-01
Education LocationItaewon Global Village Center
Person in chargeKatherine Corteza
Tel No.02-2199-8883
Subject[ITAEWON GVC] Blood Lions Documentary Screening
Attachment
On November 1st (Friday), 2:00pm-4:00pm, Itaewon Global Village Center together with Amy Milican of Flyga Twiga™, will hold a free public screening of the documentary “Blood Lions.”

Every single day in South Africa captive bred or tame lions continue to be killed in canned hunts and hundreds more are slaughtered annually for the lion bone trade to Asia. BLOOD LIONS exposes the exploitation related to unethical and insidious practices associated with wildlife interactive tourism, including cub petting and walking with lions. The Blood Lions story is a compelling call to action to have these practices stopped.

The award winning Blood Lions® feature documentary premiered in 2015. At the same time the Blood Lions Campaign was launched to create global awareness around the captive predator breeding, canned hunting and lion bone industries as well as the related exploitative wildlife interactive tourism practices.

After the film showing, Flyga Twiga™ Owner, Amy Millican will discuss the film and also give the viewers an insight on sustainable tourism.

Limited seats available. Please register by emailing us your name, nationality, phone number in Korea and email address. (email: kapcorteza@yongsan.go.kr)

(이메일: kapcorteza@yongsan.go.kr)
