There may be some times when the Air Pollution is high, pollution can NOT always be seen, especially PM 2.5, which is extremely small, smaller than a human hair.
Here are two sites that monitor Air Pollution in Korea.
1. http://aqicn.org/city/incheon
The US Military in Korea uses the above website, AQI.
2. http://aqicn.org/city/incheon
On days when the PM 2.5 is HIGH, you should wear a proper Mask, such as KF94 or KF99.
If you can buy 10 'masks' for 1,000 Won or a cheap price, it is NOT a proper mask and will NOT filter out PM 2.5 or PM 10 particles.
If you go in to most pharmacies or convenience stores a KF 94 Mask will cost between 2,000 - 3,000 Won. If you buy a multi-pack of masks, you can get them at a cheaper price.
Here is an example of what a KF 94 Mask looks like.
http://shopping.interpark.com/product/productInfo.do?prdNo=6734817477&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2ILvt_2i5AIVj6uWCh3L5gxbEAQYAiABEgJbGPD_BwE
There will likely be Student Groups selling KF 94 Masks during the Fall Semester.
On days when the PM 2.5 levels are high, if you don't wear a mask, you may experience coughing, strange feelings in your nose.throat, wheezing or difficulty breathing.
Protect your health, and check the Air Pollution levels before you go outside, and if the levels are high on that day, avoid outside exercise and activities.

Seocho (Seoul) Live Music Festival
Seoripul Festival, the biggest cultural event of the year for Seocho-gu in southern Seoul, starts its eight-day run on Saturday.
For the past five years, festival organizers have been trying to position Seoripul as Asia's Fringe Festival. This year, they are hoping to finally make a lasting impression by scheduling more live music and nighttime events.
The parade, the main highlight of the festival, will be held in Banpo Street at night. Last year, the parade took place during the day by the Han riverside.
Wrapped in LED lights, 1,000 performers ― in marching bands, "gugak" or traditional music percussionists, flamenco dancers and people dressed as Avengers characters ― will make their way down the closed-off street from exits 2 and 3 of Seocho Station, around 300 of them Seocho residents.
This year's Seoripul will also be the largest to date, with a total of 3,800 performers slated to perform at 54 venues scattered around the district, according to the organizers, Tuesday.
Highlights include a rock performance by band YB at the opening concert and EDM DJing by comedian Park Myeong-su the following Saturday. Boy band 2pm's Jun-ho, currently carrying out?community service duties in Seocho-gu as an alternative to mandatory military conscription, will also perform at the Korea-France Music Concert on the last day alongside French jazz singer Florence Davis.
Seocho-gu is home to Seorae Village, an enclave of French residents.
Young artists will make up the bulk of the program. Some 120 street bands comprised of members in their 20s and 30s will perform live music, featuring indie, pop, folk, R&B, jazz, classic and traditional music. Several teams will put on magic shows, circus stunts and musical acts.
Venues include Banpo Bridge (site of the opening ceremony), Gangnam Station, Bangbae Station, Yangjae Station, Yangjae Stream and Montmarte Park in Seorae Village. Another 23 small indoor venues in the district will be used to host young classical musicians.
Students living in the neighborhood will also hold a show at an event called "Sounds of Seocho" in Banpo Street.
Other highlights include a B-boy dance show at Dwitbeol Children's Park on Sunday and a five-hour pet festival at Yongheori Neighborhood Park on Sept. 27.

Seoul to have K Pop festival at Gwangwhamun Square
The Seoul city government plans to hold a K-pop music festival starting next week at a public plaza in central Seoul as part of its projects to make the capital a music hub, officials said Tuesday.
The first-ever Seoul Music Festival will be held at Gwanghwamun Square from Sept. 28 to Oct. 6, Seoul Metropolitan Government said.
It is part of the city government's five-year plan to spend 481.8 billion won ($405.3 million) on nine projects aimed at fostering the music industry and expanding music programs for Seoul citizens.
During the nine-day run, a variety of Korean music will be performed every day in a range of genres, from dance to hip hop to ballads.
On Sept. 28, the SMUF will kick off with an opening concert, titled "SMUF Legend," where top K-pop stars will perform.
On the final date of the festival, high-profile idol singers will perform at the "SMUF K-pop concert."
A final list of K-pop stars will be released on Sept. 26 on the SMUF website.
The city government said it hopes to attract more than 10,000 foreign visitors to the SMUF.
"It will be the first K-pop music festival to be held at the symbolic plaza in Seoul, where such music originates. We hope that many people can enjoy the festival regardless of age and gender," it said.
All concerts are free of charge, but certain seats require reservations.

Things to do during Chuseok
Chuseok, the Korean equivalent to Thanksgiving, is one of the biggest holidays in Korea which means Seoulites disperse to their hometowns or travel. Seoul this week will feature quieter and calmer vibes that is seldom seen, with most shops and restaurants shuttered.
Even though the city may feel a bit sleepy during the holiday and plenty of people will likely take the time to sleep in a bit and relax, there are mountains to hike, museums to visit and palaces to explore.
If you're looking for what to do this Chuseok in Seoul, here are some of the spots that will be open and likely hosting special Chuseok events. Make some traditional songpyeon or take in the sights.
Lotte World Seoul Sky: If you haven't visited the tallest building in Korea yet, this weekend is the time. Open 365 days a year, this 123-floor skyscraper offers stunning views out over the sprawling city of Seoul. It's a must-see that is perfect for a holiday adventure. After visiting, go for a walk around Seokchon Lake and enjoy the cooler autumn breeze blowing in.
Gyeongbok Palace: Gyeongbok Palace will not only be open every day this Chuseok but it will also be free. This is the ideal time to try on a hanbok and visit a traditional site in the city. There will be various performances and traditional activities to take part in. If you've been to Gyeongbok Palace already, the other palaces will be open as well so visit one that you haven't.
Trickeye Museum: Want to have some fun with 3D art? Trickeye Museum near Hongik University is also open year round and is sure to make for a laugh. Go with friends or family and take some fun photos to look at later to remember this holiday break. Make sure to get the selfie latte from the cafe in the admission area too because who doesn't want to drink a latte with their own face on it?
Namsangol Hanok Village: Go to this traditional site to make songpyeon, a traditional treat, on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and see tightrope performances and taekwondo, and join other traditional activities. Go on Saturday between noon and 9 p.m. and find a jeon festival and market.
National Museum of Korea: Featuring a substantial garden and known to be the ninth-largest art museum in the world, the National Museum of Korea is one of the most-visited museums in the world and the most visited in Korea for good reason. See a magnificent number of artifacts and relics and learn about the culture and history of Korea. There is much to see and it can all be seen on Thursday and Friday of this holiday break from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
War Memorial of Korea: This massive museum will be open throughout the holiday period. There is also a children's museum and a great outdoor space with historic planes to see. It's educational and fun and has something for everyone.
Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art: Head to the Anguk area and visit this gorgeous art museum on Thursday or Saturday to view the "Kim Soon Ki: Lazy Clouds" exhibition. See the art and walk around the "madang" design of the museum to see how buildings can be successfully integrated into the environment.
