| On Friday, December 6th, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Korean Traditional Rice Wine Making Class: Dongdongju.” One of the well known Korean traditional wine is made of rice. Since rice is a staple in Korea, it is only very apt for them to make wine out of it. And through this class, we will be learning the tedious process of making a “Dongdongju,” which is similar to “Makgeolli.” As part of the experience, participants will get to boil the rice, put it in a jar and so on. A bottle (350ml) of traditional wine will be given to all participants after the class. This class will be held near Gyeongbokgung Station (Line 3). The participation fee is 20,000won. FREE Pacific Alliance Film Festival
Pacific Alliance member countries in Seoul are set to open the first Pacific Alliance Film Festival in Seoul next week to promote their culture, society and history, embassies said Monday.
The Embassies of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru in collaboration with the Korea Film Archive are to hold the festival from Dec. 10-15, offering eight films across genres, including documentary, drama, comedy and suspense.
The eight films are: Chilean documentary “This Is the Way I Like It II,” Colombian drama “The Dragon’s Defense,” Mexican comedy “The Good Girls,” Peruvian comedy “At 40,” Chilean drama “Violeta Went to Heaven,” Colombian drama “Mateo,” Mexican suspense “Feral” and Peruvian drama “The Gospel of the Flesh.”
The opening ceremony will be held at Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Korean Film Archive in northwestern Seoul.

- Purpose : Soon the cold winter comes. For foreigners from Southeast Asia, Africa and South America, it is the first winter in Korea. Seoul citizens have prepared winter coats for you. They are not new cloths, but beautiful coats that were washed with a warm heart. We invite you to come to ‘Winter Coat Sharing Day” with a unique 'warm heart' of Korea and various cultural events.

COST: W10,000 toward cost of food for the day
VENUE: Meet inside Exit 6 of Samsong Station which is a subway station on Orange-Line 3 (삼송역 ) at 1:30 PM on the FIRST Saturday of every month.
DESCRIPTION: ANGEL HOUSE VOLUNTEERS get together the first and/or third Saturday of each month to go to Angel House, which houses about 50 residents. The volunteers commit to cleaning the facilities, doing laundry, cooking food, basic personal hygiene for the residents, and having fun with the residents.
INFO: To join or get more information contact show . If you are the first time visitor, please send your name and phone number or E mail address to us. The group must report to the Angel House how many people will come and your phone numbers for the Resident's safety and security.
GETTING THERE: Once all the volunteers have arrived, the group will go out Exit 6 of Samsong Station which is a subway station on Orange-Line 3 (삼송역 ) near Exit-3 at 1:30 PM on the FIRST Saturday and the THIRD Saturday of every month. And, we will leave the station when all volunteers arrive.
*Do not go out of the station.
Then, we will take 33 small bus the direction of 고양시장 (Goyang market) Angel House (All 21 stops). We should get off at Chon-Sa-We-Jib 천사의집 (Angel house).
NOTE: The W10,000 donation can be given to the Korean volunteer organizers. They will go to the market and buy foods with that money. Some of the volunteers will cook at Angel House or order some food and have dinner with the residents. The remainder of the money will be donated to the Angel House for the residents and some will be used for Christmas!

War Memorial Tour on November 15
On Friday, November 15th at 10:00am – 11:30am, Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “War Memorial Tour featured by Admiral Yi Sun-shin and the Turtle Ship”.
Through this tour, you will be exploring and learning about Japanese invasion and international situation during the mid-Joseon period which was in 1592-1598 (the 25th year of King Seonjo's reign). In addition, Turtle Battle Ship which was invented by Admiral Yi Sun Shin, will be introduced. Admiral Yi Sun Shin is a hailed hero in Korea as he saved the country from the brink of extinction during the Japanese Invasion of Korea.
Admiral Yi Sun Shin has won all the battles he commanded himself, an unprecedented record of war victory in the world's naval history. Admiral Yi Sun-shin's tactics are famous enough to be included in the textbooks of naval academies in the United States, Britain and Japan.
During this tour, participants will get the chance to make their own miniature version of the turtle battle ship. This tour will be held in the War Memorial of Korea(near Samgakji Station (Line6)). The tour is a free of charge but registration is a must.
